Foundation and upswing from UGG Sneakers

It all started in 1978 when the Australian surfer Brian Smith moved to Southern California and founded a brand that focused on sheepskin boots. It was convinced of the warmth and above all the incredible comfort of the material. Smith recognized early on the opportunity to produce unique sneakers and boots for the US market.

Without further ado, UGG was born and strangely modestly started: they only sold 28 pairs of boots in the first season. For the next season, he and his business partner Doug Jensen came up with an intelligent sales strategy and wanted to export authentic boots to the USA from Australia. 

In 1995 the potential of UGG was recognized by an investor named Deckers and he bought the fire together with all assets. Around the 2000s, an aggressive marketing campaign was started, in which a lot was made about product placements. Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Oprah Winfrey are just a few of the Celebristies who have worn Ugg sneakers and UGG boots.

The UGG Brand has of course become known for its sheepskin boots, which is available in black, gray and above all brown earth tones. For a few years now we have also been able to buy many new silhouettes such as sneakers with a thick sole and normal Ugg sneakers with a nice lacing. At UGG there are also clothes that are mostly suitable for winter and keep you warm. Down jackets, trucker jackets as well as chic coats for men as well as women and children can be ordered. Of course you can also buy gloves made of sheep fur and underwear such as socks or underpants. Chic sheepskin inlays for other sneakers or the stylish Ugg Shield are cool accessories that bring you safely over the winter.

What makes the UGG sneaker so special?

Under no circumstances is the UGG sneaker or the Ugg boot an integral part of the mainstream. With very well processed seams and real sheep fur and sheep leather, the shoes also hold out for a few winter. 

Proper care and handling of the UGG products

Of course, the suede made of suede must be specially maintained. So you can't just with a sneaker cleaner without damage the untreated leather. If you just use a rag with lukewarm water, you can make sure that the coating is not damaged too much. With all UGG sneakers, I would recommend an impregnation spray to avoid the annoying water stains.

Are Uggs only for women?

Of course not. Perhaps some only combine the fire with female fashion, since the boots through marketing was more likely to be tailored to female society. There are extra men's sizes and even entire model rows that were only tailored to the male gender.
